Welcome
Welcome all parents and students! I want to start by saying how excited I am for the upcoming year. Working with 6th graders is my passion; they definitely keep me on my toes!
About me... I grew up in the Livingston County area until college, when I moved to East Lansing. Sorry U of M fans, my blood runs GREEN and WHITE! After receiving my BA in Human Ecology from Michigan State University, I returned to school and earned my teaching certificate from Eastern Michigan University; I had to stay true to the Spartans by attending another green and white school!
My husband and I were married in August of 2008, and we have two amazing daughters, Ava and Molly. We spend our time traveling up north to Alpena on Long Lake to visit Nana and Papa and go fishing, enjoy a dip in Grandma and Grandpa's pool, and playing mermaids and princesses.. We also have two German Short Haired Pointers, Bella and Echo. They keep us busy!
Chelsea has been my home for the past nine years, and I have fallen in love with the Chelsea School District, the students, the staff, and the Chelsea community. I knew that this was where I wanted to begin my teaching career as soon as I finished my student teaching semester at Beach. There is nowhere I would rather be than here, in Chelsea, supporting your student's educational experience.
I want us to make it a great year full of communication and dedication to helping our students become better students!
